My Dream Job

My dream job would be to work composing music for a video game company. I imagine it would be a lot of fun to share creative ideas with the game developers. Sharing a workspace, watching and listening to how the game is being created, playing it and having fun with colleagues. 

I would like to work at nintendo video game company, because they have my favorite games, and I would learn the way they compose their music.

The skills you would need would be: music composition, music theory, interdisciplinary, music production, music software management and teamwork.

It is necessary to have these skills to create melodic lines, harmonic accompaniment and musical rhythms for different types of environments.

It is also important to know different forms and structures that music has, to develop musical styles and genres required by the video game. 

Regarding the salary I would like to earn, it would be enough to be able to live peacefully, maybe around $1,500,000 Chilean. 

I would like someday to have a master's degree in video game music and a master's degree in film music. It would help me achieve my dreams, and I would learn how to compose music for audiovisual media. 

I have other dreams, such as being a musical composer for movies, dance companies, theater companies and operas.

The best concert

This is something personal, but the best concert was the one I did with my music composition classmates, on September 2, 2022 at the Isidora Zegers Hall. 

It was something very nice, since it was something prepared by us, from the management, the rehearsals, and the attention to the public. 

That day, I premiered two works that I composed, a work for dance and guitar called Agua de Luna, and another work for choir, with soprano and tenor soloist, called Privatización. 

Agua de luna, was a work that aimed to create music to an already created dance, coordinating time, energy and space with the parameters of sound, taking into account the synchronization between dance and music. 

Privatization, is a work for choir, which contains a social criticism of the privatization of water and health in Chile, showing the positive and negative of this through arguments sung by the soprano and tenor soloist. 

My music composition classmates showed works in lied style, string quartet, and wind quintet. 

It was a concert that I remember with great affection.
